Back in its heydays in the 1920s, the Ruski Tsar tavern was known as “the place where people come to be seen”, with ladies and courtiers flocking to its premises to snatch their best seats. It was a venue of splendour and sophistication, a vision of Belgrade’s future as a thriving metropolis. Now – we are reviving it. And yes, some of us still come here to be seen.
